P0410 - Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction
Possible causes- Faulty Vacuum hoses damaged
- Faulty Air Pump inoperative
- Air bypass solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Air bypass solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
- Air bypass solenoid leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed
- Air diverter valve leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed

This is likely a pump problem caused by water being sucked into the secondary air injection pump under the hood.

Code 410

code po410 on a 2004 gmc envoy is that there is a problem with the secondary air injection system, you will need to check the fuse located in the engine compartment first, the next step is to start the truck cold and listen for the air pump to turn on for a few seconds, this will sound like a jet engine but not that loud, after it runs for 5 min and you dont hear it then you may have a bad pump which is located under the driverside on frame but if you hear the pump then you may have a bad valve, this valve is located on the exhaust manifold area and has a hose from the pump to valve, remove the hose and check for water, drain any water in the hose, also remove hose at pump and drain, the most common cause for this code is the valve is not opening and the air pump gets water inside and goes bad, thats the po410 code. a quick note; if fuse is blown look under truck near pump and check relay as it fills with water and blows fuse, if this is the case replace relay and blow water out of connector.good day.

Yours must have the California emission system. They use a secondary air injection system to help reduce emissions. It could be that the pump has gone bad. Have you tried to reset the code? I've seen cars that had this problem and just to erase the code took care of the check engine light. If that doesn't work, make sure your electrical wires are ok, and plugged in. Check to make sure you have voltage at the plug at the pump motor, you may have to start the car to check it. If there is no power there, then check your fuses and relays.

p0410 is an emission problem, Check the fuse for the air pump. Listen to see if it comes on when the engine is started, colder start. Make sure that the vacuum lines is still on, both ends. Common Problems That Trigger the P0410 Code.

Engine code po307 AND PO410

Hey; Code 307 is a code for misfire on cylinder #7. It could be caused by bad spark plug, ignition module. If engine has a miss then I would replace the spark plug first. If that don't fix then it will require further diagnosis with a scan tool. Code PO410 is for the secondary air injection system. Make sure the vacuum hoses going to the valves on the front and rear cylinder banks are connected and the hose(s) not damaged. Also make sure the solenoid is connected both electrical and vaccum' Maybe this will help

This has to do with the secondary air pump system, this system is used at cold start-up and involves three components; air pump, solenoid valve and a relay. Many times the valve becomes stuck or clogged, the relay has also been known to fail.

Had the same problem on a 2004 Crossfire. After a lot of trouble shooting, etc, had the air injection pump relay (K28) $435.00 and fuse replaced (F45), $46.00 not including labor. Problem solved. Was able to pass the smog and obtain cert.
