It depends on which headlight it it. they can be reached from the inside of your hood area. you take off the cover leading to the light area take out the old and put in the new. remember to put everything back where you fond it and dont touch the new light with your fingers (use a clean cloth) the oils on your hands can ruin the bulb

Just how do you get the old bulb out? It won't just pull out or pop out. Need more detail.

I have a 2008 aveo. i took off the headlight but i can not get the plastic casing off to change the bulb.

If you are talking about the headlight casing, where the clear headlight casing connects to your back headlight casing, that isn't the way to change the light bulb, you're going to damage the seals that protect water, and humidity.

I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo and my dashboard ligths will not come on. I have replaced my headlight switch, but that does not seem to fix the problem, help please.

I know this may sound stupid but I have seen people do this many times. 1st have you checked you fuse, 2nd have you turned the handle left or right on you headlight switch or there maybe a separate Dimmer on the dash you need to find it they have a dimming system somewhere. If this guys don't work it's probably a wiring problem and should go to the dealer.

Can't replace 2005 Chevy Aveo headlight

You do not need to take the headlight assembly out. It is not a sealed beam. There is a ring that locks the light bulb in, found on the back. The drivers side is much easier if you remove the battery. As with all Halogen bulbs, do not touch the bulb with your fingers as it will shorten their life.

How to change the headlight bulb on a 2004 chevy aveo?

Behind the headlight under the hood there is a small rubber disc that keeps water out of the head lamp. Disconnect the 3 prong plastic connector, then pull off the rubber disc. There is a small clip that you can compress with your fingers and swing out. Pull the old bulb out. Be careful you dont touch the new bulb with your fingers as the oils from your skin can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. Also, be careful not to scratch the bulb. Be sure the bulb spring is holding the bulb securely, Reattach the rubber disc and then reconnect the 3 prong connector. Test it and it should be good.

you can access the bulbs from inside the engine compartment. the socker turns about a quarter turn to remove it. do NOT touch the bulb with your fingers as that will shorten the bulb life. you may have to remove the battery to change the one on that side.
