Lotus elise 111r 2006.. was driving and lost power car just cutting out whilst driving car would turn over and start but cut out if reved.. fan is now staying on permantly and rev restrictor light comes on at 3000rpm car idling eratically up and down

take the old one to a scrapyard and see what you can find ,if i can fit one from a citreon into a mitsubishi with the help of some some araldite and the fan blade from a opel astra .two self tappers and a couple of lucar connectors
it is poor design on behalf of lotus the resistor pack that controls the fan is mounted externally below the fan unit and subsequently gets wet corrodes and fails. it is a difficult job not for the faint hearted and requires **** shell removal. There is a lotus mod released to fix this fault i would suggest using it prevent future trouble. Speak to a lotus dealer or specialist.
my mustang had problems after i put an exhaust on it. if this is the case for you go down under your car it has 2 sensors up high on each exhaust pipe get the size then go down to an auto parts store and get some spark plug reducers and screw your o2 sensors into them and back into your exhaust
