Hi unfortunatly starters do have a habbit of dying, actually it is not normally the starter itself but the solinoid connected to the starter, you can try this to see if it will unstick it, get a friend to turn the key as if to start the car, and then at the same time give the starter a tap with a hammer or bar if you cant get to it with the hammer, be sure to stay away from any moving parts if it starts it could be bad, but just tap it, no need to give it a bash a few light taps should free it, if no joy then you will need to change the starter motor...hope this helps

I have a 1991 ford tempo and the trunk release button located in the glove box is not working. Would you have any suggestions on how I might fix it?

Check for a blown fuse. If it's ok then test the switch for continuity when pushed in. If that's OK, then check the solenoid on the trunk latch for looseness. It might just need lubrication. A trip to a junk yard for a switch or a solenoid may be needed.

I accidentally crossed my battery cables on my 91 Ford F350. Now it want even try to start. Everything works except cranking. The fuses all check good. I'm just wondering if it shorted the solenoid?

Might try cross jumping wire between the two post on the solenoid, see if it crank's also mige reset youe ecm by turning the ign. to on position and remove positive cable wait 30 sec. then replace. Good luck.

My tempo will not start it clicks but no chug

Is the battery more than 5 years old? Pull it and take it to your local Advance or Auto Zone or Pep Boys, etc. and have it tested. Chances are it's defective. If not, then check battery cables for corrosion - clean'em anyway!
