The easy way is to find your hand book in the glove box, the code should be in the book. Next, you will have to take out the radio far enough to see a label and retrieve any numbers on that label, (ie model and serial) numbers. Locate your VIN number at the base of the front window, driver side. If you can't read your VIN off the window, you will have it on your proof of insurance and title as well. Write all these numbers down and call GM -- GMC 1-800-462-8782 -- They will give you the unlock code and give you help with putting the code in the radio. . -- You can always try the last 4 digits of the VIN.

Turned radio off then battery died, got vehicle fixed but no power to factory radio, all fuses check as good. Is there a trick to getting the radio to turn on again?

when the battery dies or is removed , the anti-theft code of the radio kicks in and the unit will not work again until a special code for that radio is reinstalled
the code could be in the user manual in the radio use section ,or there are sites on the net that may have the code for you

I bought a 2002 Honda CR-V and the battery died. We have fixed the battery and now the radio is locked because we don't know the code. Please help.

the only way to fix this is by obtaining a code from the radio manufacture, or possibly honda when u call the dealership have your vin# handy. they will need it to acesess your code. this info is free of charge from both Honda and the radio manufacturer.

While cleaning veh, battery died down.....once we jump started it, the radio seems to be locked up. The treb/bass lights blink on and off, but the radio will not come on. I need to know if its locked up...

Sounds like you have an anti-theft feature in the radio...only way to get it working again is to go to a dealer with proof that you own the car and they can get the code for you. Or, if you bought the car new, or have the original paperwork, it should be written down there. Most dealers I know do this free but recently, I heard that some are now charging for this.
Good luck.
To avoid this happening when changing a battery, most parts stores sell a small device that plugs into the lighter that maintains radio memory power while you are working.
Also...charge and check your battery...If it died that fast, it may be close to being in need of replacement!

Battery died I replaced the battery and now the radio is locked I brought the truck used and I do not have the code for the radio

Go to a Chevy dealership with your title, registration, and photo ID. They can look up the code based on the VIN of your car. They may charge you up to an hour's labor for this though, so be prepared. Unfortunately, they're the only ones who can do it.
