Some cars with oil level warning light on, it doesn't mean that its only reading the engine oil level is low, sometime the transmission fuid too. Did you check your transmission fluid if it is ok or not? try to check and let us know, ok.

Oil light beep when stop at red light

It could be one or more of the following; clogged oil screen (pan must be removed), Excessive sludge or the oil pump. When the oil pump is going bad it shows at low rpms. ps it is also possible that your dipstick is giving a false reading- showing a false normal operating level. Good luck!

Oil light is on

check oil level on dipstick under hood with engine off. oil level will show on dipstick when removed.add oil as needed,DO NOT OVERFILL 1/4 inch low can be 1/4 quart low on oil. add oil as needed oil light comes on when low on oil,,,,,,worst case is no oil pressure,,,if oil is full,,DO NOT START AS YOU MAY HAVE A BAD OIL PUMP in which case if you run engine,,it blows.. if you have a oil light, check oil 1st,than if it's full, check oil sending unit,if good then move on to oil pump,,,,thank you for choosing fixya.comk

Low oil level light

When going around the corner it could have possibly moved the oil far enough away from the level that it's reading was low going around the corner but then getting on to a level surface evened it out. You shouldn't have checked it immediately when you got home. Wait until the engine cools down then check it,

Good Luck...

My low oil pressure light has been coming on when I stop at a signal or stop sign, but than goes off when I start driving, I just had my oil changed a week ago

It sounds like your engine is low on oil. When you get home, turn your engine off, wait 5 minutes, the pull the dipstick and wipe it clean and re-insert fully, then pull the dipstick out again and look at the end of it; you will see the recommended level etched into the dipstick, if the oil level shows low (and it's a good bet it will), you need to add oil...and never use that shop again.

If the level is normal, the oil pressure sender may be faulty...ask your mechanic to check it and replace it if necessary.

When I turn the key on there are there warning beeps on my 1988 audi and the oil light comes on whats going.

If the oil's full the problem is in the sensor and a mechanic can repair the problem. If the oil level is low, change or fill the oil and the light should go off. If you've never done an oil change yourself you may want to have assistance as it can be tricky. When you check the oil and the level is at the "add" line you will add one (1) quart of oil only. If it's not registering on the dipstick you'll need to add two (2) quarts, check the level after several minutes and add accordingly. JiffyLube does good work and will save you the headache of labor. Good luck to you

Oil level no good readings, how much oil till full

generally when the light comes on in this fashion it indicates low oil. when you check the oil ... put the dipstick in one way... pull it out .. check the level... then turn the blade of the dipstick around so the other side is facing you... reinsert it into the hole and check it again... make sure the dipstick is completely seated in the pipe. i'm not sure i've ever heard of it but the baffle inside the oil pan may have broken (this prevents the oil sloshing front or back when you brake)

Oil fill light

i am pretty sure the oil light comes on when the key is turned to the ON position, then goes out after it starts (providing oil quantity is not low). if it stays on after it starts, then may be an issue with sending unit.

mention it to the dealer when you take it in and they should be able to further diagnose.

BTW, what service is it going in for is oil service was performed 5000 miles ago?
