Where would the fuse box be in my 2000 volxwagen beetle

I can't remember where I found this, but it describes my 2000 VW Beetle 1.8 Turbo fuse box exactly, and has been a huge help to me.

there should be 2 fuses directly relating to the radio.
first is a 25 amp fuse for audio system, fuse box on drivers side of dash, number 42.
second is a 10 amp fuse directly in the back of the radio, which you'll need pins to remove.

the main fuse box is under the hood in front the secondary fuse box is in kick panel on the steering wheel side

2000 Beetle radio has a 10amp fuse at its rear left. have to remove radio to get to it. removing and returning radio is not easy. let me know if you need help with that as i have done this repeatedly on two different 2000 beetles and finally have it downpat. of course you need radio code, have found an article on how to disable VW radio anti-theft code but have not tried it yet.

I found my manuel in a box in the basement.

Start with fuse section of owner's manual. This will tell you where fuse box is located and which fuses are for each circuit.

Send me an email address and I will forward alond an image for the fuse block descriptions in a 1998 VW Beetle. Likely identical to the 2000 VW Beetle. Section 3.2 of your Owner's Manual also contains a pictoral representation of the fuse block, including descriptions for each fuse.

Have you checked your fuses. Most of the cars will have a signal fuse in the fuse box a seperate signal fuse around the fuse box and a flasher fuse. So try and locate the fuses and replace them. Good luck

There should be a diagram in your Owner's Manual. I have one for my daughter's 1998 Beetle that should be the same as in the 2000 Beetle. Can email it to you if you post an email address that I can send it to.
