Re: I have just discovered a leek on my radiator.how can...
If your plastic radiator tank becomes cracked, you will
want to replace it with a new one. However, there is a way to fix it
temporarily that should get you by for up to a few months if you aren't
able to invest in a new one right away. Instructions:
-
Remove the radiator and clean the cracked area. To do this,
scrub it with a good wire brush. Afterward, use 80 or 120 grit sandpaper
to rough the surrounding area up. The rougher surface will allow for
the epoxy you will be using in the following steps to adhere to the
plastic.
-
Wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol to get all oily
residue and antifreeze films off the area. Allow to dry thoroughly.
-
Invest in a good quality epoxy glue that is designed to work
on nylon and plastic. Mix a small amount of the epoxy glue up and apply
to the crack. Try to force a layer of epoxy into the crack, the best you
can.
-
Allow this to dry and apply another layer and allow that to
dry as well. Repeat this 4-5 times. Each time cover a larger area. This
will help ensure a better seal.

Hope help with this (remember rated this help).
