If your plastic radiator tank becomes cracked, you will want to replace it with a new one. However, there is a way to fix it temporarily that should get you by for up to a few months if you aren't able to invest in a new one right away. Instructions:

  1. Remove the radiator and clean the cracked area. To do this, scrub it with a good wire brush. Afterward, use 80 or 120 grit sandpaper to rough the surrounding area up. The rougher surface will allow for the epoxy you will be using in the following steps to adhere to the plastic.
  2. Wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol to get all oily residue and antifreeze films off the area. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  3. Invest in a good quality epoxy glue that is designed to work on nylon and plastic. Mix a small amount of the epoxy glue up and apply to the crack. Try to force a layer of epoxy into the crack, the best you can.
  4. Allow this to dry and apply another layer and allow that to dry as well. Repeat this 4-5 times. Each time cover a larger area. This will help ensure a better seal.

What's your question?can you run a 2.5 v6 sonata with out a thermostat

Yes, you can. You can run any vehicle without a thermostat as a short-term measure only.

Removal of the thermostat means that the engine coolant circulates through the radiator and cylinders nearest to the radiator ... those cylinders furthest away from the radiator will consequently run hotter..

Running a car without a thermostat is a short term, get you home measure. Manufacturers fit a thermostat for a good reason. Running a car without one for a prolonged period is going to cause problems

My radiator hose popped off today iput it on and my car still over heats

You may have an air pocket with no fluid. This would cause over heating. If you have a recovery tank, it is better to add fluid thru there and not directly in radiator neck.

Bar stop leak in mazda tribute

None

Have to install a new radiator

I would not put anything in the coolant such as Bars

It will not work on a large hole or leak & will ruin your
heater core with that product

Low coolant

The best way to check this is with a radiator pressure tester this will allow you to pressurize the system and find out where the leak is.

I have a leak and the stop leak product i used leak out what should my next step be?

you need to address the location of the leak, stop leak was only for short term repairs, every time you use it, it goes through the entire coolant system, and clocks and small openings it finds, which means the cores in the heater, and radiator, then you'll have more problems

2005 aveo

try eautorepair.net
you can get short term (or long term) access to detailed repair manual for your car model, for VERY few bucks if you just get the short term (I think a day or two) access.
