Question edited to fix second code.
Grand Cherokee P0700 Code Definition
If you are scanning your vehicle right now, you should be looking for a second code that tells you what is actually wrong. Think about it like this.
P0700 Says- "Hey there's something wrong with this transmission.
The Next Code(s) Say- "I'm the actual problem going on with the transmission. I'm what you're looking for."

I'd say the fan pulls more air across transmission cooler, they can clog up on you. Most vehicles come with a cooler that barely gets by.I allways add a towing extra cooler to all my cars, and use syntheic ATF.If clogged you can try blowing thru it with airhose,or by pass radiator cooler, and run a larger aux. cooler
Check the water level in the radiator as you may have had an air lock on initial fill and now the water level is below the top of the radiator cores. The transmission oil cooler is in the radiator and the box temp sensor will be reading hot because there is no water to cool the transmission oil
The fuel tank on a 2005 Jeep Cherokee is on the driver's side towards the back end if you are looking to fuel up.-------------------------------------------------------------------- vas 5054a
More than likely one of your crash sensors has corrosion or has moisture intrusion. Have light reset at any good shop or the dealer - note if light comes back on then you'll need to have your system looked at.
these jeeps have a problem with the crank position sensor which cause most all of the issues with no spark condition, it is located on top of the transmission where it bolts to the engine(bellhousing)
