Headlight switch.
NOTE; safety first....Always disconnect the battery by disconnecting the negative cable first, then the positive. Wait 2 minutes for the air bag sensor to disengage. You don't want to activate the air bag....Trust me, big ouch!
1. turn the knob to the on position and pull it out as if you wanted them on for highway driving during the day.
2. You should be able to see a little notch /(like a missing tooth space),
3. Insert a flathead screw driver, paper clip, or something small enough to fit in the notch.
4. Being careful not to break the light house, Have one hand hold the black part of the headlight housing while you pop out the light switch knob.
5. Once you have the knob out you can do what you need to do.
------------------------------------------------------------
To remove the headlight:
disconnect the battery as indicated from the NOTE upabove.
1. open hood.
2. Push headlight housing retaining clips rearward, then pull upward on the clips to release the headlight housing.
3. Pull the headlight housing out and toward you. You will be able to get to the bulb retaining ring which is on the back side.
4.turn the retaining ring counter clockwise.
5. besure to take out the bulb and headlight housing together from the headlight casing.
6. Pull the bulb straight out from the headlight housing.
7. With a soft cloth and without touching the light bulb with your bare hands, the oils from your hand can damage the light bulb before you even get to use it. Remove the light bulb from the package and incert it into the headlight housing. Besure to tighten the retaining ring clips. You don't want to be driving down the road with out the clips tightened or you will be driving with only the one that you haven't touched.
8. To install, reverse pattern from #'s 1,2,and 3. So, you want to do #3 in reverse, 2, then 1. Basically, How you got it out do that in reverse.
9. You're done with that part. Now you have to test and adjust the lights for driving. I would bring it to a station or body shop that does inspections and have them do it for you. That way your not blinding someone and you can see correctly at night. Also, You don't need an officer pulling you over 'cause you blinded them with your headlights. lol....
Hope this will help you. If it does, please leave a rate and comment for me.
Keep smiling:)
