PO102 indicates a problem with the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Aftermarket air filters that require frequent oil to be applied to them can coat the sensor wire.
The most common issue, or starting point is to inspect the air induction tube for any leaks between the sensor and engine throttle body. You failed to mention what engine.
Cleaning the mass air flow sensor wire may be all you need. Good luck
The 3.8 MAF sensor is located in the throttle body.
Remove the screws securing the mass air flow sensor into the throttle body. These are tamperproof torx screws that will require a specialty tool. (Or a visit to a friendly local mechanic)
Remove the electrical portion on the sensor by lifting straight up. Spray the sensor element wire with a carburator cleaning spray and reinstall in reverse order. Do not touch the sensor wire as it is fragile. In the event you do not have the torx bit required, half an hour labor is all any shop should charge. Cleaning the MAF is always worth a try, as this sensor in roughly $250.00.
GM has issued bulletins that recommend this repair.
