Do you have the EKA code, if you do, then activate that code, info should be in the service/maintenence book.
If not, then you have to go to the dealer to check and reset the alarm system

Key fob won't work even after changing battery, can only open and lock car using key, alarm won't shut off and keeps ringing

retry replacing battery new doesnt mean cant be defective if it is good than fob needs a relearn different cars have different relearn that you can perform but if the fob has other features such as start that will have to be done at dealer ----

How do I get my alarm system to chirp instead of beep when it goes off or when I lock my doors with the remote entry key fob?

Check to see if your vehicle honks when you press the "lock" button on your key fob. Press the "lock" button multiple times in a row. Many devices won't beep unless you double-tap the button after locking. If the horn doesn't honk, but the lights flash, your chirp feature is probably disabled.

Use your keyless fob and ignition key to enable the audible chirp. The process varies considerably on different makes and models. You must usually consult your owner's manual, a dealership or the alarm manufacturer for the correct process.

Doors won't lock using either door switches or fob, but will activate headlights and the alarm. Pressing unlock on the switch or fob works fine. Any idea where is the problem and how to solve it.

model not stated but i would hazard a guess and say you have a problem with the reciever unit in the vehicle ,if you had a spare fob to eliminate this as well it would help as maybe no signal then it will not operate the internal manual switch although i do doubt this but? - Now the locking mechanism is controlled by the reciever that sends a signal to the relay to operate the locks so i expect this to be a seperate unit from the ECU but it could be incorperated then a current is passed to the operating relay under the dash which in most vehicles operates the relay directly but some more modern cars this just send a current via the reciever which could again be incorperated into the ECU .If i had car in front of me with the bonnet up and my automotive multimeter in my hand i would soon determine as to what type of system but weither i could repair it without a lot of expensive new parts is another question .

How do i reprogram a land rover discovery two button remote fob

if its a replacemet fob it can only be done with diagnostic equipment
if its the original fob you need to de-activate the alarm system with a 4 digit code from the vehicles security card, I cant recall how to do it but details are in the owner's hand book. once the alarm is dissabled you need to hold the fob close to the vehicle and press either of the buttons on the fob 4 times or more in quick succession.

My husband has a landrover freelander, cant lock the car

first thing i would be checking is the door switches on each door if are broken or by removing switches to see if connection is broken or badly corroded also check bonnet & tailgate switches for same problem.

Key fob remote start issues

You need to get one that works on the same wide range frequency as the reciever in the car, and then it's a simple matter of opening both the new and old fobs, and matching the fine frequency settings by putting the little switches inside where they should be according to the old fob's switches. If there are no switches in the old fob, it's preset and there's not much you can do about it.
