if the immo light doesnt come on it means the ecu has left the immobilizer on. it is a commen fault on kia. if you lock and unlock the car or sometimes just take the key out the ignition then put it back in it sorts the problem. if you dont see the IMMO light dont attempt to start it because it wont fire
It is below the power steering pump pulley, there is a nut in the middle of the pulley that you loosen and then loosen the tensioner bolt to move the pulley away from the belt.
Hard to say..I just recently replaced both tensioners on the timing belt. One was going out and there was a screaming/whining sound similar to a fan belt slipping. They run about $80 each and are a dealer only item. The info to do it yourself can be found online at
