My 95 Jeep YJ is having problems starting, will turn over but won't start until check engine light comes on and this could be quick or at times it's a long while nearly running battery down. When it dones start it has a random dead miss in it.

This is what we have done to the Jeep and we still have the problem. Put on New crand sensor, changed plugs and wires, rotary cap, distributor cap, coil, new electrical switch, new ground cable and cleaned all grounds and checked to make sure they were ground good. Please....any other suggestions?

I have a 95 jeep and it has trouble cranking. It takes a long time for fuel pump to start . Have changed fuel pump

Sounds to me like your jeep has what's known as the delayed start check engine light problem. Check to see if your check engine light comes on, when you turn on the ignition, at the times when the fuel pump is 'delayed'. If no check engine light comes on then your ecu needs to be repaired or replaced. Both options are available on ebay. The jeep will not start until that check engine light finally coming on.

My 1995 grand cherokee takes a lot to start. turns over fine, but won't fire. checked fuel rail, no pressure. after trying 15 times or so, it will start and run just fine. starts right back up unl

Your Jeep has what's known as the delayed start, no check engine light problem. The Jeep will not start until the check engine light comes on, on the dashboard. Next time it cranks but will not start, look at the dashboard to see if the check engine light is illuminated. If it's not lit up, then your Jeep does have that problem and your Jeep ecu is in need of repair or replacement. There are components inside the ecu that are going bad and will continue to get worse, eventually leading to a permanent no start condition. There are ecu repair services and replacement ecus on ebay.

Have to turn the ignition on and off several times to get the fuel pump working

Your Jeep ecu is in need of repair. Your jeep is having a common problem known as the "Delayed check engine light" starting problem. Next time you try starting the jeep and it the fuel pump won't prime, look at the dash.....the check engine light is not on and the fuel pump will not come on until the check engine light eventually come on, on the dash. Have it repaired and it will eliminate the delayed check engine light start problem.

95 jeep laredo distribution box keeps clicking then jeep . doesnt start till check engine light comes on

Your jeep ecu needs to be repaired. You have what is known as the 'No Check Engine Light" no start problem. Have the ecu either repaired (a lot cheaper) or replaced. That will eliminate the delayed check engine light and wait time to start.

Your engine computer is bad. Either you need to open it up and replace the three power caps or you need to get a new computer. The computer is not sending current to the relays. That's what's causing the delayed check engine light on your jeep.

95 jeep yj wont start

have you checked the fuel pump ? the fuel pump is in the fuel tank and it may be that the fuel guage inside the tank is broken and or not attached to the pump. This is a big job but with a little help from buddys and a bit patients it can be repaired.
