You need to figure out WHERE the leak is coming from-the radiator-one of the hoses, etc., before you can proceed.

SOURCE: antifreeze leak under dash, passenger side

Nothing special. lots of patience and don't poke any holes in it, don't pinch any wires under box and remember to plug in anything you disconnected going in!

SOURCE: There is antifreeze leaking from

many vans have rear heater cores for added passenger comfort, so this is not unusual, it is very possiable either the hoses or there connections to the rear eater core are leaking or the heater core itself is leaking.

SOURCE: leaking antifreeze

the location of the leak needs to be identified. it could be as simple as a hose or a leak in the block. sounds like you need to find a trusted technician to find the source of the leak and repaired before it causes more substancial damage.

2003 kia sorento leaking antifreeze after new radiator

You will want to taste the leak (or get someone else to do so) and make sure it is not water.
Antifreeze has a very sweet taste.
You should only need one drop, and be sure to rinse your mouth out really well afterwards.
Whenever a radiator is replaced, the hoses attached to it can also begin to leak, because the rubber hardens with age, and can be harder to seal again.
I prefer a stainless steel band clamp, not the original equipment.
A good flashlight would be a help as you look for the problem.
Be sure to check the heater hoses, and the other hoses that carry coolant, as any of them could be leaking, due to "being disturbed" or due to the possible higher pressure the new radiator is giving the cooling system.
Be blessed.

1999 Kia Sportage 4Wd leaking antifreeze, timing belt loose, not turning cam shaft, but not broken. What is causing problem?

If you have antifreeze in ya timing belt cover it can only be one thing. Your water pump seal is going bad. You will not see it if it is not under pressure but it will leak. It's not a bad job to do if you know what ya doing but if you dont it can be a night mare. When you change your water pump change the timing baelt along with it because the antifreeze will rot the belt and it will break. Leaving you beside the road wait for a tow truck.

2002 kia sedona is loosing coolant.....within 2 days after filling the reservoir to FULL, it went a little more than halfway down to low . No leaking on ground. Sometimes smell coolant inside van after...

The heater core is leaking into the heaterbox under the dash. Which is why you smell antifreeze/coolant inside. After a while (if left go too long) you'll notice antifreeze on the floor/carpet and possibly running out from under the vehicle as it flows out of the drain for the air conditioner (the heaterbox has a drain in it to let out the moisture produced by the a/c)

2005 kia sedona 76,000 overheats the engine

My 2005 KIA Sedona started overheating in Winter 2009/2010 and was loosing antifreeze. No leaks from the heater hoses or radiator hose. No pressure in the radiator either.

I had found a site where folks were discussing the same things and someone brought up the rear heater. Apparently KIA has run steel hoses running under the chasis to the rear of the van and these rot.

I looked under the rear at the wheel well and located the lines and they were wet with antifreeze. I traced the lines to the firewall and found where the lines were connected to the coolant system and bypassed the rear heater lines.

I then filled up the radiator and overflow tank with antifreeze and started the van. I rocked the van to get air to move out of the lines and kept adding antifreeze until it was full. then used the overflow tank to top it off.

Hope this helps.

2002 kia rio 1.5, every time i drive the car i need to put about a quart of water in the radiator and fill the tank next to it. no water under the car. No water in the oil or trans. i cant find any leaks....

The water seems to leak out when the engine is running and so it is important to hve the test done when the engine idles.
So fill up and lett it idle to checck if the fault appears.
It is possible that the radiator has got a microscopic leak and is steams out at some stage for sure.
Once confirmed you wilI have to get teh radiator checked with a pressure test. check the bandages of the hose to water pump/engine.
Also the last point if the engine is heating up to oerflow off when it is running and at stops.

My 2004 kia's engine pops and stalls before starting. Antifreeze is leaking somewhere that can not be seen. Exhaust smells like antifreeze

blown head gasket. Your coolant is leaking into the combustion chambers and you are burning it. If you can still drive it you might want to try putting in K&W block sealer. Follow the directions carefully and this may prolong the inevetable. Need your heads inspected and new head gasket.
