It could be that the break pads are touching metal to metal on the rotors. and there binging up but if he drives it this way you are going to have to buy new rotors or get them turned.

Congats to you, especially at 53. Go back to the passenger side and check the backing plate/dust cover for the rotor. They do bend or can be bent when doing the work you did. They can and will make noise and get louder when turning. I usually use a screwdriver and go around and bend it away from the rotor. Sometimes I have to pull the tire off, because it is rusted and rubbing towards to center of the rotor.
Sounds like left front loose wheel bearing knocking ABS sensor out of range causing ABS light to come on and causing grind noise at same location. Grinding noise is probably rotor rubbing on calipar.
If the problem is as bad as it sounds, you may be close to parking it until fixed. Normally, if you turn left, your are "loading" the right side, and visa-versa. Think of it this way. Picture a car going fast around a turn. The wheel on the inside of the turn might actually lift off of the ground, it is "unloaded". With that thought in mind, look closely at the right front wheel. Start with the brake pads and /or rotor ( what the brake pads rub on to stop the car.) Check the rotor inside and out. A good flashlight will do. Pull the right front wheel and see if the pads are worn out or the rotor is no longer smooth, but "torn up" on the inside or the outside. If the pads and the rotor is fine, next look at the wheel bearings. This will be a bigger problem, probably a shop needs to check this out.
Look through the openings in your front wheels and look at the front rotors-are they gouged up? You are probably running metal-to-metal, pads to rotors. Chances are real good your rotors will have to be replaced along with new pads, but if you catch it early enough you might be able to have them machined, although nowadays that is hardly easy to get done and the savings usually is not as significant as it once was.
you most likely need to have your front brakes replace post haste. the grinding noise,does it get worse when you apply the brakes? the grinding noise will be a bad brake rotor and will also make you car pull hard one way or other depending on which brake is worse. recommend highly that you have those brakes looked at. the more you drive it, the worse the problem will be.thank you for choosing fixya.com and please rate my solution thank you!
I would pull the wheels again and take a look to make sure I didn't mistakenly put one of the pads on backwards, with the metal backing plate facing the rotor. I pulled this stunt about a month ago and my son caught me, talk about a red face. Hope this helps.
You can see the brake disc on the front wheels, Check both sides of each side, looking for scoring. Brake pads have wear insicators on them that are metal tabs that contact the rotor (disc) when pads get thin. It would be better to pull the wheels off to get a good look at the pads. Good luck
Bad caliper, or you just need to rebuild your caliper. The grinding noise is likely caused from the pads being bad and the rivets are grinding on the rotor. I recommend if you are a handy person, rebuild the caliper, if not then buy a new one and replace it and bleed the brakes
