Hi, I have a 2001 316TI SE 115bhp When I go round corners the car feels odd around right hand bends a bit soft and spungy and wants to come round on me, yet when I go round left hand bends it feels planted and firm, I also noticed that the traction control kicks in quicker on the right rear(driver side) than the left side. And the car appears a little lower on the right rear. Please can give me any ideas? Neil Berriman

Just bought a 2004 z4 we have noticed that the right hand side well in the boot keeps filling with water . Is this a common fault . We did get a three month warranty with the car but this does not appear to be covered .

The cornering lever on my 1994 impreza fails to reset after a left hand cornering function.

Might just be dirty. Remove cover round steering wheel and check operation when turning right. should be making a soft clicking sound every 1/4 turn. Then turn to left, same should happen. If it does it should be dirt or a weak spring inside the switch assembly. You can strip the switch and clean it if you are confident enough or take it to an auto electrician. Worse case scenario you will need a new switch

My 97 jeep cherokee front drivers wheel staggers when at speeds of 45 to50. but it stops around the speed of 60

hi there ,this is a tyre problem we in the business call an "out of round tyre" to find which tyre it is so you can replace it ,go to each wheel and feel around the tread part of each tyre with your bare hand laying flat on the tread and feel right around each tyre ,you will find the problem tyre quite fast using this method as you will feel a raised bit on the bad tyre thats making your steering wheel shake ,a reputable tyre shop could do this for you if you dont feel capable ,then have the tyre replaced and ask them to balance all your wheels in the processand THANK YOU for using FixYa !!!

Where is the battery located on a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible?

Hi, the battery is at the rear of the trunk/boot compartment, remove the floor panel (lift handle and pull the panel out) then remove the luggage cover 9the soft "blind" that is moved when lowering the roof) this lifts backwards and up. There are four small round "knobs" at each corner or the vertical panel facing you at the rear of the compartment (the rear of the back seats) remove these by unscrewing counterclockwise (they then pull out) the vertical panel will now come free when pulled to reaveal the battery in the top left hand corner, it has security bolts on the front retaining bar and 10mm bolts on both terminals and the right hand safety retainer. (NB the positive terminal is on the right, the negative terminal on the left) I hope this helps, regards, Baz

Check engine light on (Code P-2096)

P2096 is bank 1 lean code. This can be caused typically by a hole in a vacuum hose coming from the motor. Typically a hole will be found from heat and oil damage in a 90 degree bend of a hose running from the air intake to the PCV valve. You may have to remove that whole section (multiple bends usually) and do a very close visual inspection or feel around for a soft spongy area on the hoses. If it feels soft, there is very likely a hole at that point and it feels soft because the rubber thickness is thinner from melting. Other vacuum leak places to check includes the large rubber hose from the brake booster to the intake. If this is not the issue you could have a faulty fuel injector and typically using injector cleaner will not fix that problem.

Can a Jeep Grand Cherokee feel safe round corners on tarmac?

Those have coil spring suspension at all four corners. If the springs are weak it can give you a bit more body roll than you'd like to see. Make sure you have four good quality shocks as well. In extreme cases you may want to install the police version of the sway bars on there which are generally larger in diameter and offer more roll resistance as well.

that is one of the wosrt ABS system it dose cause a soft peddle but you can sometimes adjust up the rear brakes to help this problem, also find a dirt road and slam on the brakes just enough to cause the ABS pump to kick on it will also give you a better peddle
