When you say it doesn't start...Does it crank over? Does it need a jump??

Assuming that it cranks, but doesn't start...

If it's a moisture problem there could be a problem with the distributor cap. If there's a crack in it, or it it just isn't sealed well enough. It'll crank-n-crank-n... Until it's warm for a day or so. I just went through the procedure on how to replace it for the novice, same vehicle. Take a look at that. In the interim there's a spray "wire dryer" that might help, or he could spray some WD-40 on the cap.

Another way to check is to wait until it gets dark and get a helper. One person cranks the engine, the other looks at the cap and wires. If there's any sparks from the wires, or a crack in the cap, it's a lot easier to see.

I have a 96 chevy blazer that will start up and run fine. After I park it, it does not want to start back up.

It sounds like the solenoid on your starter motor replace it and it should be fine. I hope this helps.

96 chevy blazer won't start.

I'm following another issue like this on a 1996 Jimmy.
This engine requires 60psi or more fuel pressure to run.
You need to have someone check the fuel pressure at the rail- throttle body with a gauge.

I had the same exact thing happen to me, I have a 97 blazer and after hours of screwing around with it and several different options... it turned out to simply be the ignition switch.

I have a 96 chevy blazer with a 4.3 vortec rough

Do a compression test on all of your cylinders when it is cold. Backfiring is a sign of a worn valve seat allowing mixed fuel and air (lit by spark) to be forced back into the intake. You will probably see compression loss on one or more cylinders.

Also... there is a chance that the EGR valve is not totally seated when the engine is cold with just a small blow by. The EGR valve seats coke up over time with black gunk.

2002 chevy blazer won't start when it is cold/damp outside. Fuel pump repaced 3 times in a year. What could causing this?Starts fine when weather is nice.

could be a defective distributor cap(crack in it allows moisture in...moisture displaces the spark from where it needs to go).
You could try to replace the distributor cap and rotor.
