YOU HAVE THE WRONG CAR, KEEP SEARCHING THE LOT AND YOU WILL FIND YOURS EVENTUALLY :P........ you might have a blown relay or a wiring short, its a Jag so the first thing you should have done is replace that ******** wiring front to back the first day you got it. they are notorious for bad wiring and short outs, especially ones from the 80s

How can you open a 89 Oldsmobile car Trunk lid with out the key

If there is no release around the driver's door, and no electric switch in the glove box, you'll have to remove the back seat to gain access.

Trunk will not open fuel door will not open all fuses ok

You have listed the vehicle is a 1987 Jaguar XJ6. The trunk is not electronic and only unlocks with the key as well as both the gas doors. Any issues here then it is your key or the actual trunk latch. If you do have a 1988 model year then the trunk lock has 3 positions. locked all the time, unlocked all the time or the vertical position locks and unlocks with the vehicles drivers door lock. If the trunk button (paddle) is loose and moves but nothing happens then the inside rod has come loose and you will have to manually operate the latch by removing the license plate and taking a long screw driver through the lower plastic bungs. The fuel flap is a separate unite and does have a manual release but you need to open the trunk to get to it. If the fuel flap stays locked all the time then the actually filler neck module will need replacing. If you have a 1997 which has the electronic release button to open the trunk (95-2003) Then you will need to firstly lock all door and unlock the drivers door 2 times. Check the fuel flap is now released, if not then the fuel flap actuator located on the filler neck inside the trunk is bad. If the trunk does not open with the remote, inside car switch and trunk mounted switch then the passenger side trunk harness is broken. Open the trunk with the key and on the right(passenger) hinge there is a grey plastic cover, remove that cover and carefully peel back the wiring harness cover and you will find 1 or more broken wires. Once the wires are repaired then I recommend you zip tie them in place and retest the trunk release button. If this does not answer any of your questions please feel free to email [email protected]

I saw your post regarding how to open the trunk of a 97 Jag XJ6. Unfortunately the black key is in the trunk, and we only have the valet key which does not open the trunk. We have a key fob which opens...

Having never had this problem with an XJ6 I can only suggest that you carefully see if you can remove the rear centre armrest back panel (as damage here can be minimised) and gain access to the boot sufficient enough to perhaps hook the keys out ? Sorry cannot be of more help here

Where is the gas cap release button inside my 1991 Jaguar?

Hi,

Open your trunk lid and on the left hand side (the side of the fuel filler cap) there should be a label that says manual fuel door open. The switch is white and close to the top right by the fuel filler cap on the inside of the trunk. You may have to pull back the carpeting a little to find it as it might be tucked behind. Give it a pull and the fuel door should open.

Best of luck .

My drivers door wont open the outside.

Broken handle. You can get another from years 89-94. Just be sure to change out the lock cylinder with the one that is broken.

Cant locate fuel pump to replace on 89 xj6 jaguar

in the boot(trunk in n america) lift out the ply cover on the spare wheel, and the wheel, between the wheel and the rear is a ply and steel filler panel, held in by screwa, unscrew these and the pump (s) is under there.

Door locks, and trunk will not work.

Is the key you are using green? If so, it is the Valet Key and it will only lock the door - it will not work on the glove box or the trunk.

The two back doors for a jaguar xj6 1994 do not, open email afernadez730hotmail.com

If the doors will open from the outside, but do not open from the inside - the child safety switches are probably activated. Open the rear doors (from the outside) and slide the small levers next to the doors locks (on the edge of the doors) upwards.
