It can be absolutely anywhere. Rear fogs are not required in Japan, and the Lucida was a Japanese-only model. When they get exported outside Japan to territories like UK/Europe where rear fog lights are compulsory the importer or retailer usually just fits a cheap rear fog light kit and mounts the switch almost anywhere as long as there is a warning light visible to the driver.

Better quality conversions will replace the Lucida's lighting stalk with the one fitted to the Previa; this has a rotating collar which acts as the fog light switch and sometimes the job is done even more properly and the instrument binnacle from a Previa is also fitted. This then means that the warning light is with the other instruments as per a Previa and if you're in the UK/Republic of Ireland the speedo in is mph.

Scenic 54 reg hi beams and front fogs not working

It would be easier to find clues to the fault using a circuit diagram.

There are slight differences how the fog lights are wired and generally are intended to be used only with dipped headlights but for exact operational details the vehicle handbook should be consulted.
You didn't mention what the rear lights including the rear fog lights are doing?

The fog lights usually derive the supply or the control for the circuit from the main lighting circuit so it would seem the fault is before the point in the lighting circuit of that connection.

The fog lights on my santa fe want turn on when the switch is depress

hi from uk if your front and rear fogs are of the same specification as uk models of hyundai ? these front and rear fogs although the switches are on these lamps will not operate till you turn headlight on dip beam reason being that if weather conditions req fogs on then you should have rear and front side light and head lights on however if you inadvertently forget to switch front or rear fogs off when you turn other lights off when parking car ? you will/should hear the warning bleep as you open drivers door as you would if side/rear lights are still switched on ? hope this helps?

Front fog lights!

The fog light switch is located to the right of the rear wiper switch. Also the fog lights will not operate when the high beams are on. If the rear fog is the defrost switch, you are in the right area.If the switch is not there, they could have been dealer installed and are wired to come on when the low beams are on. Hope this helps,Good luck
