I have 2006 scion xb and when driving the rpm stays around3500-4000 when running 65 mph can it be modified to run lower rpm

3500 is about normal for an xb at 65 mph. My previous ride was a pickup and rolled at about 2000-2500 on the highway. But the XB's engine is way more "tightly wound". Your rpm gage should run at about half of of your speed...ie: 70 mph will be about 35 (3500) rpm, 80 mph will be about 40 (4000) rpm. Freaked me out when I first got the thing, but after researching it Ive found out that with a stock engine it actually runs more efficient at the higher RPM's. The 06 boxes won't redline until 6000 rpm, so unless you are driving 120 on a frequent basis you're good. You can probably have it modified to run lower, but you will lose the awesome gas mileage and overall it is not going to improve the way it runs, and would have no benefit............

My 1996 mitsubishi galant may have a bad ground. the battery is constently dead, even with a new battery, if it sits the battery will be dead in 5 hours. i get a jump and it starts right up, but if i fail...

you need to get the charging system and battery tested. Most places charge about $40 for this service. Only takes a few minutes to complete but it will be money well spent. Then you can do the replacement parts yourself if you inclined.

The RPM of Nissan Altima stays high when drive over 65 MPH.

No....the rpms differ from engine to engine and from manufacturer to manufacturer. RPM's are always higher at higher speeds.

1996 Honda Accord automatic transmission lay-out?

Hello;
You will probably be ok for a while if you tow it, fix the leak, and change the fluid and filter. Honda makes a pretty tough transmission. Depending on how much destroyed clutch material is in the pan when you change fluid will detrimine how long it will last. Make sure yu use the correct fluid in it. Wish you the best. Hope this helps, and please rate me highly.
Thanks;

Stick shift # Automatic RPM

That is normal,If you do the same speed in 4th gear the rpm's will almost double.

The rpm's will repond faster in a manual than an automatic.

In a manual the engine supplies the power required directly to the gear that you have selected thus the engine rpm's will increase or decrease as needed.
