when you do your compression test squirt some oil in the cylinder through the spark plug hole first then check compression if you have compression then its rings. If still no compress you might have worn off cam lobes.
There is no valve adjustment on that engine. Your rocker arms are on a single shaft that us bolted to the head. The lifters are hydraulic and will take up any normal slack unless there is damage to the cam, lifter, push rod or rocker.
YOU HAVE TO REMOVE VALVE COVERS LOOSEN REMOVE ROCKER ARMS ASSEMBLY KEEP ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY IN ORDER SO THEY GO BACK IN THE ORIGINAL POSITION.YOU HAVE TO REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD ALSO.YOU NEED A REPAIR MANUAL FOR TORQUE SEQUENCE ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ROCKER ARMS TORQUE.
