The body control module or BCM is located on top of the inside of the glove box, remove the lower trim panel under the passenger foot well under the glove box,the the 4 screws that hold the glove box door on,,,then the screws that hold the box to the dash and the BCM is slid into the top of the box,,,,,,you are gonna need it programmed as it comes new blank, and the car will not start with out a program

The estimate for my 2000 Saturn LS-1 was around $500.00. I would suspect it should be around this much for your wagon since it is basically identical regarding the BCM. It is easy to get to the BCM so a relatively mechanically savvy person could change it on your own but it has to be programmed which will require the mechanic anyway.
The problem is that apparently, since Saturn has been dissolved the BCM's are getting hard to come by. The dealer is unable to order one for my car. You may have more luck with a 2003.
