How to fix inoperative fog light on indicator light on 2003 Acura TL? The lights work fine, just the indicator that tells you they are on does not work. Thanks.
The lights themselves work fine. I just can't tell if they are switched on or not because the indicator light that lights up when they are on doesn't work. Thanks. The lights themselves work fine. Id definitely check that relay under the hood on the drivers side. All too common when the brights burn out itll take out the relay with it. hopefully that will get you fixed up
If it happened right after the oil change, I would take it back there first. Even if they can't fix it, they need to know about it if you have it fixed somewhere else. They might be on the hook for the repairs. They could have left something unplugged which would turn on the check engine light. The traction control is affected by the engine performance.
ther is a fuse in fuse panel inside vehicle..if it's blown, check wiring under radiator/condenser on pass side of veh..the fog lamp wiring may be pinched under here and wiring shorted/corroded off..look carefully
If your car is running daytime running light system .. there is a DTR relay that goes defective and needs replacing ... I had the identical problem that was fixed with this replacement. The DTR relay is behind the glovebox.
the switches are a nightmare they always play up,if your good with a multimeter check the supply at the switch (feed in)flick the switch to on and check the output,no input broken or damaged wire or relay if you have input but no output its a switch fault....
