It's on the back of the engine block behind the intake manifold.

Caution if replacing it... you will need a sensor socket or you will break the new one putting it in.

Chevy 2005 4x4 silverado low oil pressure replaced oil sending unit and the cluster 137000miles no noise from engine

By the time you hear noise from the engine it will be too late for that engine. You may need an oil pump replacement. Have a mechanic check the oil pressure. It's cheaper than replacing the engine.

Put a gage in the sending unit hole and see if the oil pump is weak, that is the best way to tell if the engine pump is ok.

Where is the oil pressure sensor located on a 2005 chevy silverodo 6.0 V8 1500

The oil pressure sensor is located on the side of the oil pan and actually reads pressure from the oil pump.

2007 Chevy Silverado oil pressure gauge fluxuating, setting off computer on dash reading "engine oil low" also warning bell sounds. Thanks!

If you are lucky , replacing the oil pressure sender unit will solve the problem. Your truck might have perfectly good oil pressure , but a bad sensor. OR you might actually have low oil pressure , which is not good , and will be expensive to fix. Good luck.

My oil pressure guage spiked to 80 on my 06 Chevy Silverado 1500 why did this happen and how do I fix it?

it is either the oil sender or the cluster gone out. i have seen both with the factory scan tool you can do a gauge sweep test to see if gauges are functioning correctly. the oil sender would be the cheapest thing to try. it is located at back of engine in valley by firewall

The first thing you should do is change the oil filter. No matter how old it is. If that doesn't work repost.

Chevy 4.3 fuel prombems..?

I'd be replacing oil sender. GM have used oil pressure switch as a safety shut-off to fuel pump, when oil pressure drops off, as it would in a collision, due to engine stall.
