Remove wiper arm by wedging a small flat head or similar tool to remove the cap revealing the 13mm nut. Then remove the rubber gasket holding the rain tray from the engine bay. Remove the tray and the wiper motor, linkage, ECU and the interior air filter will be accessible.

I got a Golf GTI 00' my wipers arms goes backwards at the beginning of the cycle, like counterclokwise about 20 to 25 degrees then it goes clockwise like its suppose to be, how do i change that?

the setting at the wiper motor is out.there is a short linkage from the wiper mechanism to the wiper motor, which is held by a nut, undo the nut and pull off the link, activate the wipers without the link connected, until the motor returns to its stop position, reconnect the linkage making sure the wipers are in the correct position,[adjust by handif you have to]..good luck

My wipers are very slow on all speeds and keep sticking

Common problem with Golf, the wiper linkages are partially seized on the spinldes. The spindles are the rods that stick up out through the plastic panel at the bottom of the windscreen and the wiper arms connect to them.
Disconnect the wiper linkage from the motor and try manually moving them but I think you will find that they are seized. You will need to completely remove the linkage assembly and clamp it in a vice and use a lubricant spray oil to work into the spindles. Either that or fit a new or good second hand linkage

VW Golf Windscreen Wiper

Sounds like the linkage part came off from the motor. You'll have to remove the 2 wipers arms and the plastic tray to inspect further.

VW Bora wiper problem

Have you checked the wiper motor and linkages to make sure they are properly lubricated? Take care to keep your fingers clear of the (hopefully) moving parts! Your typical can of maintenance spray might get them going initially, but grease is really needed in the long run. D.

Slow Windscreen Wipers

sound more like a motor problem. pop the bonnet and lube the linkage with a penetrating spray such as WD-40 and let it to soak in a while then run the wipers on slow and spray the linkage with it running.it should make it work a little bit faster by beginning and after a while it should be working well.
