1997 jimmy main fuse-ABS brakes

open driver door on side of dash. "HVAC" ; # 9 & 21. Also Under Hood , Diver Side By the ABS Brake system, Black Cover; "HVAC" Top right of box. 3 small fuses Between the PARKLP and HAZLP. Check A/C fuses also. I'm not sure what issues you are having? (There may be a Box in the back of the glove box. This is usually for Blower motors) Not sure on this model...

It is not the ABS causing this problem.

Should be a black box on the driver side fender near the ABS module.

There is a fuse in the box on the drivers side of the END of the dashboard, Check fuse

In the power distribution box under the hood on the driver's side of the vehicle. The cover snaps off and on with no tools required. The layout label of the relays/fuses is on the underside of the box cover.

the driver side is the main source of power 4 the windows. you will need 2 replace the electrical board on the door for the windows. try running a wire from the battery to the fan on the positive. if the fan comes on check the relay. if not bad fan

the abs control unit controls the speedo (tach) also tells the cruise signal. abs should be fixed or replaced for any of these to work properly with the abs system not working you have no signal to the ecu to say what fuel air mix is for the speed you are doing and will think you are idling.

By removing the ABS brake fuse you are disabling other components as well. The ABS fuse supplies voltage to the brake switch that tells the ECM and ABS module the the brake has been applied. If neither of the modules can see the brake switch the cruise control will be electrically disabled. You need to reinstall the fuse.

It should be inside the Fuse Relay Box under the Hood on the Drivers Side. The Diagram of the Relays should be on the Inside of the Cover, If Not, It is in the Owners Manual. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

The main relay switch is on the fuel pump itself/ There are others in the engine compartment and under the dash or side of dash panel
