Donald: Here are some comments on SubaruForester.org : "We just got a 2007
Subaru Forester> and we absolutely love it.
I was wondering if anybody out there has a solution to this small gripe:
The only way to open the rear hatch is to first unlock the
driver's> side door, then hit the unlock all button, then walk back and open the rear hatch. It sure would have been nice if the rear hatch had a slot for the key, or there was a button on the remote you could press.
Anybody else have this gripe, and is there a solution?
---------
Two presses of "unlock" on the key fob unlocks all 5 doors.
--------------------------
If it has a key, try that.

My only suggestion is double-clicking the unlock button, while standing next to the rear hatch. I know that on my 2003, it's sometimes a matter of timing.

I remember reading somewhere (can't recall where) that sometimes
if you are parked on uneven ground the rear hatch can be a problem
to open. If you are on uneven ground, try moving the Foz to a more
even place.
