On the passenger side, down near the bottom of engine compartment, you'll see a small yellow loop handled dipstick. that's the trans dipstick. ok assuming its an automatic. manuals don't have dipstick, it has a fill plug on the side of transmission

How do i take transmission out of a 93 honda accord lx 2.2

1. I'm not certain that you should: I had a transmission linkage problem, and I took my '93 Accord to a transmission place (Cottman's). In the end, those skilled pros really couldn't do anything--they directed me to a Honda dealer, instead! (I was very puzzled!: They couldn't even get to first base.)

2. You see, virtually everything concerning Honda automatic transmissions is proprietary--down to the fluid! You wish to put a junkyard trans in your ancient Honda?: Good luck! It may prove an uphill battle--very difficult.

3. So, you have a clever jack which lifts small transmissions?: You need help--someone who works/worked for Honda, or knows Hondas very well. Info online proves scarce:

4. You may obtain a relevant Honda repair manual from a Honda dealer--you should start with that--given that you're still brave enough for DIY...Hayne's and Chilton's offer no help--it's way beyond their scope....

5. It may be the linkage--not the trans--hope it's the linkage!

.6. Sorry!

1996 honda accord lx 4cly auto how do you drain transmission fluid from this car

Get a service manual from Autozone or a similar store. They usually run about $25. If you pull it out to check it, you might as well change it out. Most tranny filters are internal to a metal outer piece and there's no way to "check" them. Be sure to use fresh transmission fluid and make sure it's the right TYPE. The store can help you out with this as well.

My honda accord lx 1992 shifting gear after 3000 rpms why. and suking more gass can u tell me why plz

The transmission is probably the problem. If it is going over 3,000 rpms it sounds like it is not shifting right. I would check the tranny fluid level. And see how dirty the fluid is. If the fluid is real dark it is burnt and needs to be changed with new filters. If that does not fix the problem your torque converter is going out. Thanks

Having trouble locating were the transmission

Looking at the car from the front, the dip stick for the transaxle is down very low at the left hand side of the engine, close to being under the battery. It is normally yellow. Follow the large water hose that runs down next to your battery. The yellow dip stick handle is right along side of that hose (to the right of it) down low. It will either pull out or unscrew.
Hope this helps you.

Honda accord lx 1996 6 transmission dipstick

For the V-6 model, the dipstick is located down low on the transaxle, on the drivers side of the car, if it is low, usually 1 pint of of fluid is needed to raise from low notch to high notch. also if it appears to be dark or burnt, smells burnt, you should replace the tranaxle fluid. Good Luck!
