I have a 96 F150 and I need to replace my clutch. My tranny code is M which should be the M5OD-R2 (correct?) I'm not sure if my clutch plate is a 10in or an 11 in.

You will take old parts in so no need to know ahead of time what size.
Basically clutch sandwiched between engine and transmission.
Transmission usually easiest to remove.
Drive shaft first.
If starter on tranny, then remove batter cable.
Sometimes ground strap.
Speedo cable, backup lights cable, etc.
Small bolts on bottom plate.
Support transmission and engine separately.
Some trucks have removable tunnel cover, which makes it much easier.
6 large bolts between engine and bellhouseing.
Lower transmission and back of engine only enough so you can slde transmission back.
Then slide it back out of engine and clutch.
Usually about 6 inches or less.
Then get it out of the way.
About 10 bolts on pressure plate.
Do diagonally and in steps.
Friction disk sandwiched between pressure plate and flywheel, will just fall out.
Throw out bearing is on fork back in bellhousing of tranny.

Check pilot busing in center of flywheel.
Supports tranny shaft, so must be good, well greased, no rust, no binding.

Install is reverse of procedure, except you need to hold the friction disk in center, while tightening pressure plate. They sell a cheap plastice stub shaft substitute that you can buy or improvise. But important, because you will be trying to get that heavy transmission with long imput shaft back through the fiction disk hub and into pilot busing. Alignment is critical. Sometimes turing engine helps.
Extra long bolts temporarity, also helps. A little rocking and shoving. Constantly compare gap on bottom and top of bellhousing to engine.
When it slides in, youwll know, and an bolt it back up. But don't try to just force it.
Also don't over tighern pressure plate bolts, because they are small. Use torque wrench.

Install clutch on 1996 f150 302 5.0

Drop the tail shaft . remove the gear lever from inside the cab. remove the housing bolts and pull gear box back out of the way. remove the clutch pressure plate by evenly undoing the pressure plate cover bolts. lift away along with the clutch plate Remember the way the clutch plate is facing as it will only go in one way. If the flywheel is badly blued or scored remove it and have it machined flat. Check and if necessary replace the bearing/bush in the end of the crank shaft. Fit new clutch plate the correct way or the flywheel bolts will hit the clutch plate and you will have to do the job again. position up the pressure plate and use a clutch aligning tool to hold the clutch plate exactly in line with the bush/bearing in the crank. tighten up the cover plate bolts evenly so as not to warp the pressure plate. Replace the clutch throw out bearing as it will be on the way out. Reposition the gear box back on to the motor making sure that the flange faces remain parallel at all times so that the splines of the input shaft do not bind on the clutch plate splines. Push the gear box all the way home and bolt up. Do not use the bolts to pull the box in as there is something wrong and you will damage something. The box will go all the way home easily if you have done everything correctly. Finish the job.

Manual clutch is out, needs replaced. Need to know tear down proceedure, front wheel drive unit and this is the first front wheel unit i have worked on

probably have to remove driveline, maybe remove awd unit, unbolt tranny, and lower it. unbolt and slide clutch plate and disc out. fairly simple task. make sure you use the alignment key that comes with the clutch :) tranny is kinda heavy so use a jack or tranni stand. need more detailed info just ask and ill look further into your specific car :)

My 96 ford F150 sat out in the below freezing weather for about 2 days. I started the vehicle and let it run for about 12 minutes then pushed in the clutch and put it into gear, i then backed out and used...

Have the slave valve for the clutch checked. It's usually on the side of the tranny bell housing, but some fords have them mounted on the inside of the bell housing.

I was bleeding my clutch now my clutch pedal stuck to the floor on a 1995 f 150

Most modern clutches are hydraulic. It may be that either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder are stuck or some sort of restriction in the line. Or, it may be that the throwout bearing or pressure plate have some sort of issue (this requires pulling the tranny and looking at the clutch, pressure plate (plate that rides against the clutch with springs to engage the clutch) and throwout bearing (bearing on the arm that presses against the pressure plate to engage the clutch).

Of course, I am assuming you have checked for any outside restrictions that would not allow the pivot arm to retract (missing spring or piece of ice or debris stuck in there).

Just some ideas :)
