On most early U.S. cars the horn button only provides a ground for the horn relay , which is located on the firewall under the master cylinder , if you can gain access to the back side of the horn button I would ground the wire to see if your horn honks . If not check for power at the horn relay . I would invest in an assembly manual/ service manual from any of the many camaro restoration companies as it could provide insight on future problems

Need to know how to instal the horn contact and spring into a 1984 camaro steering colum

First you need toremove the steering wheel. You will also need a lock ring removal tool. This tool will help you remove the circlip from behind plastic cover. Dont lose this clip. After you have removed the lock plate then the horn ring should be visible and you can replace it.

Horn not working on 1999 z28 camaro / what could

Well, it could be a fuse. Check the associated fuse, if it is ok then proceed to checking for power at the horn (it should have 12v). If the horn has power then replace the horn. If it does not then seek proffesional certified help due to the fact that the problem is going to be in the steering column or horn pad, and that will require dealing with the airbag system (which is NOT recommended) unless qualified.

1996 Saturn SL. Horn doesnt work. Fuse is ok. Can't find horn under hood.

it is behind bumper drivers side. I believe there is a relay in the horn, making the horn unique and origional replacement required. if it has three wires in it then it has built in relay.

Horn on 1984 camaro is not working correctly.

it turns on on certain position of the steering wheel? if yes, then the problem is clock spring under the horn pad. you need to change it if it is electronics.
