There is a special tool for removing the fan but sometimes it will come off by using an adjustable wrench. It has normal threads not reverse threads so to get it off go lefty loosey. What I do is tap the wrench with a dead blow hammer. This seems to help. Then remove the fan clutch from the fan.Reverse procedure for installation.Hope this helps.Good luck.

SOURCE: 1983 chevy s10 2.8 v6. underneath my clutch pedal

Have you got a hole in the floorboards????
It could be something loose in the clutch or just something ricochetting around the bell housing.

SOURCE: can i remove oil pan without removing engine 1984

Yes, you can remove the pan without removing the engine. You may have to remove anything preventing you from getting the pan out or you may have to disconnect the engine mounts and raise the engine enough to get the pan out.

My 2003 s10 started glitching. The instrument panel jumps, off and on, the rpm and speed gauage flicker off and on. Now it will not start.

Bad ground wires. Inside they will be at the steering column under the dash. And on on each side behind the side kick panels. Also check the battery to body ground and engine to body ground.

How to remove fan from 2001 chevy S10

It depends on what engine you have and if it has AC or not. Some you unbolt the fan from the clutch 2.2 2.4 with on AC with AC you need to unbolt fan from pulley with the clutch 4;3 you have to remove fan and clutch at the same time by loosening the large nut that is threaded to the water pump shaft its right handed thread and thats with or with out AC

I have a 1985 Chevy S-10. I have not started or drove this vehicle for a few months. I go to start it today and the clutch goes all the way to the floor with no resistance. Please help?

Your S10 has a clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, a hydraulic clutch system.

You need to fill the master cylinder and bleed both the master and slave cylinders in order for the clutch mechanism to work properly.
