Press and release the trip/reset button until the oil life message is displayed.Then press and hold the trip/reset button until and chime is herd 5 times and reset is displayed in the message center.When the system is reset the odometer will be displayed in the message center.Turn the key to the off position.When you turn the key on if the change oil message is still there it did not reset.Retry again.Hope this helps.Good luck.
Work in 2002 All Models:
Turn ignition switch to on. Locate the fuse box under the
hood on driver’s side. Remove cover and depress OIL-R button. Light should
flash indicating reset. Instructions are located on fuse box cover.

It's a cartridge filter that goes into a canister.You'll need a 32mm oil filter canister socket to remove the cover to access
the filter. You can find it at PepBoys for less than $10 by the other oil
change supplies.
