This is not good . With that much oil in that amount of time.
Unless there is a cloud of smoke so thick coming out of the tail pipe you cannot see through it, There must be an external oil leak. If you look under your Honda and there is oil all over the underside it will be necessary to locate the general area of the leak to pin point the problem area. Starting with the oil filter and drain plug. You may need help with that.

Heet will not fix a bad fuel filter. See if it is bad and replace it if it is. the fuel filter is on the passenger side engine wall at the rear of the engine compartment. It looks about the size of an oil filter with a steel band around the center that secures it to the firewall.

My wife drove my 1992 Honda Accord for approximately 4-5 miles with oil light on. Turns out the car was leaking.leaking its oil from timing chain area. Is there any engine damage?

Possibly, but I'd replace the leaking gasket/seal.
Also note, the Honda uses a timing belt (not a chain), and you don't want oil on the belt. If there's a chance the belt has gotten oil on it, you want to take the timing belt cover off, remove the belt, and clean all the oil covered parts. The oil can wear out the belt as well as cause the belt to slip timing

This is a common problem and that is the distributor, but before replacing i would have it checked, it sounds like its not sparking and causing a no start, next time it doesnt start check for spark at the plugs,it sounds like the module is heating up inside distributor and failing. then it cools and works fine.

Why would my 1992 honda accord act like it wants to startbut doesn't at times?

If you are experiencing hard starting when hot after a short stop (quick run in for a diet dew for example), the main relay (on backside of dash between steering wheel and door) may be culprit. It can be replaced laying on one's back in about 10 minutes. It cost me $76 bucks at NAPA last year.

I just want to see what the best oil type is for a 1992 Honda Accord EX that I just purchased. It has high miles 220,000 so I just want to make sure that when the time comes that I have the best oil in it.

THE BEST ALL AROUND OIL TO USE IS 10W30W, DON'T USE ANY HEAVIER OR YOU CAN DAMAGE THE ROD AND CRANK BEARINGS, ANY MAJOR BRAND, I LIKE VALVOLINE, HAVE USED IT FOR 40 YEARS, NEVER HAD AN ENGINE FAIL, AND I DRIVE VERY HARD..

1992 honda accord stop running in middle of driving

When you turn the key to start, the engine cranks over? You must check for spark and fuel, if one is missing, the car won't run. Pull a spark plug, with plug wire connected and plug on a metal surface of the engine, have someone turn the key to start, while you watch for spark at the plug. It is easiest to see spark with car out of direct or bright light. If you have spark, attempt to start several times, pull a spark plug and check for evidence of fuel (wet) on plug. Let me know what you find, we can then continue.

Oil light

it sounds like your oil pump or your oil pick up might be blocked.
Try running an engine oil flush and changing your oil
