Hello. I recommend replacing the blower relay. Go to any auto parts store and they will sell you the correct relay and possibly even plug it in for you. it is under the dash board. regards, Joe

INFORMATION
Subject:
Revised HVAC Blower Motor Installation Procedures

Models:
1994-1997 Cadillac Seville
1994-1999 Cadillac DeVille
1994-2002 Cadillac Eldorado

The intent of this bulletin is to provide technicians information regarding the proper installation of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Module blower motor (with impeller) assembly.

The current available HVAC Module blower motor for the above listed vehicles can be identified by the three mounting holes (1). The original equipment blower motor had five mounting holes.

In order to avoid confusion and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, when replacing an HVAC Module blower motor, refer to this bulletin for the appropriate procedure.

Eldorado/Seville-HVAC Blower Motor
Caution: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the camshaft cover.

3. Remove the blower motor.

^ Disconnect connector from the blower motor.

^ Remove the blower motor screws (either 3 or 5 screws).

^ Remove the blower motor from the HVAC Module.

Installation Procedure
1. If present, remove the 2 ribs located on the barrier. Refer to Step 3 and the illustrations in the Instruction Sheet, P/N 52494110, found in the blower motor kit.

Important: Ensure the blower motor gasket makes a complete seal around the blower motor.

2. Install the new blower motor with heat shield. Refer to Steps 4 and 5 in the Instruction Sheet, P/N 52494110, found in the blower motor kit.

3. Install the blower motor retaining screws.

Tighten

Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
4. Tighten the lower heat shield retaining screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

5. Connect the connector to the blower motor.

6. Install the camshaft cover.

7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Humming noise coming from my 1994 cadillac deville especially during the hotter months

Late model Cadillac Deville's and Seville's may experience a humming noise in the passenger compartment when the heater is on high and the blower is set on a medium to high speed.

GM has determined that the most likely cause of the humming noise is from the positioning of the blower motor within the HVAC housing, causing a restriction of the incoming airflow. (GM TSB 03-01-37-001)

The recommended repair for this symptom is to reposition the blower motor.

1. Remove the right side sound insulator.
2. Loosen the three blower motor retainer bolts. (Do not remove bolts)
3. Shift motor as far as allowed toward the vent tube.
4. Re-tighten the retainer bolts.
5. Re-install right side sound insulator.

Blower motor has no power 1994 cadillac deville

If there is only high speed fan, then replace the resistor assembly in the heater plenum. If there is no fan at all, then check the ground to the blower- the wire fails down in the fender well. Just run a new ground from a convenient spot to the motor's plug harness. Or it could just be a bad blower motor.

97 caddy cant find fuses or anything that would make blower work

Under the dash... in the duct work for the vents... you will see a coonector that goes to the side of the duct work... and a part held on by two or three screws... that is the resister block... remove it and replace it
