If it is the tipical cvshaft you must replace the whole shaft if you have the old style straight axle you have to take the four wheel assembly apart remove the rotor assembly this means that in some Dodges you have to have the bearing unpressed and a new bearing installed when you change the universal joint in the wheel shaft good luck these are tuff to do
The drive shaft will need to be removed. Remove ujoint cap clips from yolk and shaft. Should be four all together.tap out the u joints.
Remove cap from new ujoint. place into yoke from outside. Slip ujoint inside, attach to cap. press ujoint into housing. do the same with drive shaft side. Dont forget to put the new clips provided, on the shaft and yolk
There are 3 bolts two which are located on front of the lamp housing and one more which is located under the lamp housing (if looking at the left side it is above the front bumper trim the space between the two), then remove the two plastic screws for the lamp housing gasket. When you have removed all hardware then pull hard on the head lamp you will have to pull pretty hard then it will pop out your new bulb will be a 9007.
remove front wheel brakes,rotors, axle nut,remove the four bolts on the bake side of your unit bearing using one of the 4 bolts removed from the unit bearing (also knowin as wheel bearing) go get a half dozen of the same bolt only 1 to 2 inchs longer theard them into the unit bearing from the back side and start beating. the unit bearing is a sob to get out but will come out with time once you get it out pull out your axle shaft replace the ujoint and reassemble anti seize everything as you re assemble it
