The rear passenger side window on my 2004 BMW X3 is not working - there is no sound when engaging the window switch. Is there a repair manual available to help me fix it?

OK - switched fuse out and now I think I hear the motor but still no window movement - so do we think its a cable or regulator or something else? I googled repair manual but could not find anything so if you have a specific recommendation, I would appreciate it. How do I remove the door?

Yes there are online manuals just Google it. First thing to try is

Get some electronic switch cleaner spray and use on the switch see if dirt and dust is an issue.

OR

Try changing the fuse that controls the window switch

If these dont work, could be the motor that drives the window or maybe a cable break which will be very hard to find and at that point its time for an auto electrician.

Does not seem like it is the swutch or cable more likly now that it is the regulator. Usually you can et at regulator by taking the inside trim off the door. Ths is usually a series of plastic clips that you can EASE ut with a flat end screwdriver. some WILL break so you may have to buy some more. Once trim is off, the regulator plus lift arm will be visible. You can then the switch and see is anything moves or anything obviously disconected. If not then, auto electricican wil be able to test power flow for you so you will know if u have to change the regulator.

My 2003 dodge dakota child protective window switch needs to be disabled. How do I do this?

Not sure why you would want to disable such a safety feature that when it is engaged is designed to prevent rear seat passengers (young children) from opening the rear windows.

When it is disengaged the rear seat passengers can open the windows without problems. The safety switch is generally placed so it is only accessible by the driver for further safety.

If the switch isn't working it is more desirable to get it replaced or repaired than to have it disabled.

I have a light on that says passenger side airbag off? how do i resolve this problem? i drive a Bmw x3 oi

some x3 cars have a "lock" that you can turn off/on the airbag on the passenger side for a frontseat baby carrier.you might find it inside the glovebox or on the side of the dash.also some (that dont have the switch, but the previous owner has has had the bag disconnected by the dealer)may need to have a dealer reactivate the bag.(in England its inside the glovebox)
