Do you know what may cause a 1999 Jeep Cherokee to leak water in the passanger side when it rains. i cannot find how the water gets in. I tried water testing with a hose and I cant make it leak. I stayed in the car when it was raining and I cant see where the water is comming from. The floor is wet on the passanger side and I noticed the other day when I lifted the back seat it was wet in there too. Any suggestions? P.S. This is a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport
The first place I would look is the floor board caps. Make sure one or more of them aren't pushed up, allowing water to enter the cabin. Also, because your defroster is probably on while it's raining, make sure the A/C drain plug isn't clogged. It's a small rubber fiting that sticks out from inside the firewall, behind the engine. Simply pull it out and clean it. When you pull it out, you might be surprised to see water coming out of the hole!
Just a couple things to check. I hope this helps! :)
