I would test your blend door actuator and your blower motor, put a voltometer on them both and see what kind of voltage you get, with the heat on, next pull out the HVAC control in your dash and find out what the voltage is going to the control it you have voltage going to th control and not to the actuator or the blower motor the you know your control is bad. if you have voltage going to both then pull them and visually check to make sure they are turning properly. The blower motor will spin very fast and the actuator will be ver slow. I hope this helps you
Can you hear the blower motor running ? Could be a dirty cabin air filter, or blower problem, or blend door problem. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and evaporator core as well as the vents. If you have not replaced the cabin air filter check your owners manual on how to check it.
is the blower fan working? does not sound like it.. I think its located under the hood on passengers side of engine compartment, either the motor is bad or the blower resister could be bad, if its not blowing any air...
I'm afraid you have the deluxe system,my friend. It has 2 electronic circuit boards that may be going bad. Very expensive unless you can find used or aftermarket.
I hope it's just the blower motor, but I had the other thing happen and I had to wire around it,losing my AUTO temp and blower control. don-ohio
If it's not climate controled, (has knobs to turn the blower motor to different speeds), change your blower motor resistor module. Located under the glove box.
do you mean the blower motor only works on the fastest setting? and the other three lower speeds do not work at all.
if this is the case then it is a fairly common fault with your resistor pack. its sometimes called a ballast resistor, cheap to buy as well.
to get at it , remove the glovebox (not sure what the americans may call this, the storage container in the passenger side dash board). 6 screws 3 at the top inside and 3 at the bottom outside.
the blower motor will be right in front of you and the the right of the motor (left hand drive cars) you can see the ducting for the air. the resistor pack is located in the wall of the ducting, on the top i think (the blowing air keeps it cool). It is circular in shape with a 4 pin plug. if you turn it counter clockwise about a quater of a turn it should unclip, although it might be quite hard to get your hand on it.
Your message is a bit confusing but since there is a vehicle model shown, I'll assume that is the A/C causing problems. If the blower does not push air on either heating or A/C settings, the bearings of the motor may have gotten gummy and are not allowing the motor to spin up.
Check the different speed settings for the blower, preferably with the controls set to heating since there are additional controls when on A/C that can confuse troubleshooting.
If the highest speed is working, then the speed control resistor has failed.
If it does not move air regardless of setting, then the blower motor has failed or the bearings sticky.
If you have added gas to your home A/C, I hope you know which gas is used (R-22- NOT R-134 as in cars) and have not overcharged it since that can caused very high pressures that can damage your system.
Different systems also have different intake and output pressures with which the compressor and other system components work best.
Easy fix. Usually the blower motor resistor gets messed up. (Page 3-8 Haynes manual 47017). The dash light could be a few things. All my bulbs went bad. Little bit of a hassle but no problem with the book.
