Alarm keeps going off when I open the drivers door
My alarm keeps going off when I open the drivers door. I don't have an actual alarm, just whatever is factory set, the one that goes off if you break the window and try to unlock the door

Take off the inside door panel and see if there is something by the lock that activates/deactivates the alarm when you turn the key. Compare the drivers side(L), to the passenger side(R), that works. All mechanical things like to break down over time.
It can be any of the car door not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked.Open and close each door again properly. Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen. And last thing alarm connections needs to be inspected. Its getting short somewhere in between.
Is it factory alarm or aftermarket??. Try using the key to lock and unlock the doors driver and passenger then turn the ingnition on with the key and leave it in the key on engine off position for a few minutes and start the vehicle
The alarm system is integrated into the vehicle electronics, you can't completely bypass it. You don't need a remote to have it work right and not go off, you have a problem with the system like a door sensor.
Try this: open the driver's door (or whatever you have to do) to get the alarm to go off (activate) . Then, while it is honking the horn or doing whatever it does , walk around the car to the front passenger door and using your door key turn the lock cylinder to the lock and then unlock position . I believe this will disable the alarm system if it is a factory installed OEM alarm .
there are all different type of alarm set ups ur truck possible set up for voltage drop (open door light goes on )sets off alarm-- if truck has aftermarket sensitivity alarm and not going off will have to adjust the unit to make more sensitive
If ithe alarm is factory when they will have to reset the alarm module with a scanner. If the alarm if aftermarket go to the control module and see if it has a reset button. FOBs (remote) can reset alarm. You Jeep is always set for break-in mode. The FOB sets this when ever the FOB is used to lock the doors. May be bad alarm module - Sorry - Good luck
When my alarm goes off, it usually happens when someone sticks their hand in the window to unlock the door. In order to turn off the alarm I close whichever door the person opened back, and unlock the door from the driver's side door. This usually turns the alarm off.
I don't have a remote, as I said above.
