I have a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara, The backdoor is unlocked but it won't open when you squeeze the handle. Is there any way that I can get the backdoor open without having to take it to a dealer?

It sounds to me like the linkage inside the door may have come off. you have to remove the door panel that is if you can open the door from inside. if not you may be able to open the door with a slim jim. no matter what you have to get the door panel off to fix your problem. that can be a task if you can't open the door.

Their is a way u can get door pannel off take the back door off totally yea but it will still be on the catchto open car ket sum 1 to hold it take door panel off and connect the dooor opener linkage bar b k on thats wat it will be 100%
