It's more than likely a wiring fault or an ECU fault - assuming this is one of the ECU controlled alternators. Check in this order 1 wiring 2 alternator 3 battery 4 ECM hope this helps

Do fault codes stay in the ecu after repair?

Hey Mark,here's a link to info.about your codes,it says after the repair is done,you must use a scan tool to erase,Autozone might do it for you for free,they scan vehicles.

that warning light is the message given to you by the vehicle ECU,and by using a scanner surely you will get the fault code given.

There is probably a sensor failure or other fault. When the engine management light is on, the ECU goes into get you home mode. I suggtes scanned the PCM to know what fault code is stored there and (with this code number) we could send additional details.

hi best advice is have obd codes readout this will give the fault ? however tis problem you have is suggesting that one or more of fuel injectors are at fault hence the ecu has put engine in limp mode
