Question about GMC Savanna
My van was sitting for 3 months drivin maybe 3-5 times in those months . the battery drained while not in use. I jumped the van it ran but drained again. yesterday even trying to jump start the van but I get absolutly nothing. I mean no power at all. today i use my battery in the van and it almost wants to start but it only turns overe once and will not start . it seems to be like a wiring or grounding issue. please help
This means theres a parasitic load on the battery (something using battery power when its not supposed to) sadly this is a very complex problem that could be a variety of different things. the best i can do from my computer is tell you to look for any lights that are on when there not supposed to be, check your fuses, any engine components that use electricity, look for chaffed wires that could be shorting, anything and everything you can.
also, if you have access to a code reader (autozone does free ones) there might be a stored code in the computer thats not illuminating the MIL (check enine light) that could point you in the right direction.
hope this helps!
