you need a haynes manual.because some new cars dont have dip stick to check tranny fluid.you have to locate a check fill plug on automatic transmission differential.its located on the right side.front of drive axle.for volkswagon you got buy the tool to squirt fluid in tranny.still get a manual it will show you place to put tranny oil.

your getting close to a change, especially if its a belt and not a chain. i know friends that had there belts changed out anywhere from 60k to 90k. Chains can go about twice as long as a belt. i you kept this car up on it servicing and dont abuse it. i"d say it"ll last till at least 70k.

sometimes it depends on the type of allarm, if it is factory fitted they are a nightmare to do as most of the wireing for the allarm is intergrated into the loom, where as if it is an after marked alarm ( one fitted later on ) it shouldnt be to bad but still a long and complicated job to find all the wires and reconnect the originals bypassing the immobiliser/alarm if you are a complete novice this should not be attempted as you could immobilise the car completely, best thing for you to do is get an auto electrician to have a look at it for you, sorry its not much help

I have the same problem with immobiliser in a 2007 golf, i have yet to figure out the problem:
Immobiliser will not allow me to sart the car but, if I let it Cool off , sometime sit between 5-120 min. it will start. i have tried succesfully the disconnect the battery for 30 min.
- it not the battery, given boost and no result
- it's not the alternator, it been tested
- Starters are effected by Temperature, i think it's the starter.
let me know what you guys think

Either you have a vacuum leak or there may be a fuel pressure problem wih the fuel pressure regulator or pump. Mahe sure the vacuum line to the pressure regulator is working .

Vw sharan 19 tdi 53 reg problem. Drivers side f window not working n/s only go up of button and up and down on door key also headlight motors going mad also inside locking not working.


this is obviously an electrical fault , have you checked the fuses , but i doubt its that , to be honest your best course of action is to get an auto electrician to look at it as these things are hard enough to diagnose when your with the vehicle , let alone trying to help online, sorry could,nt be much help

Vw sharan w reg turns over and sometimes fires but then dies, now wont start at all.


Just some info could be filter or fuel pump. copy and paste to google search. diesel which is takes some time to crank.

Immobiliser problem with a 1994 VW Golf 1.9TD which does not have central locking.


Unfortunately there is no way to bypass the immobiliser on this vehicle, the immobiliser communicates with the control unit which then send s a start signal to the ECM to start the car, There are companies in the UK that can re-program the ecm to ignore the immobiliser but this isn't very cheap. You best option is to try to find a car at a dismantlers and replace the damaged part yourself.

Vw polo 1 litre has idling problems it keeps reving to around 800 rpm then droping to around 400/500 all the time engine being cold or warm makes no difference. It's a w reg with 50000 miles


im also havin a problm with 99 polo 1.6 it revs high low high low and if da tank is below 1/4 it dies of while driving iv changed tank unit,trottle body, sensor nd after i changd tank unit da foat reads opsite way sum1 plz help me

My vw caravelle bus 2.6i -1996 model cant start- just cranking but not firing, cant hear the pump click as usual. It was just running fine, then switched off, when i got back all these started. kindly assist.

it in the air filter intake ,best advice take car to renault dealer and lay the golden egg .start playing with these cars and the immobiliser cuts in ,hey come on it is renault what else do expect ,,,,,from a car thats designed to be dealer only repairable
