I turn the wheel to one side and it honks but when the stearing wheel is straight it doesnot honk

Sounds like you have some worn-out or corroded electrical components in your steering column, specifically the part that connects your horn switch wires. The area where your steering wheel meets the steering column is a common place for electrical problems to occur.

I have a 92 cherokee and am having getting the pitman arm and stearing wheel aligned any help would be great

Count the number of times the wheel turns to the left and then to the right. Then find the center, which would be half of the overall turns you made to the steering wheel. Then make sure your fron wheels are as straight as can be, at this point, slide the pitman arem on and snug it up with the tie rod already attached. This will give a starting point or possibly a dead on straight alignment. If you remove the tie rod end that was attched to the pitman arm first, you' have to adjust it a few turns at a time to get a close alignment to drive, but you will have to bring it in to get an alignment to TRUE it up. Hope this helps.

Where do i put my power stearing fluid in my 1998 ford escort

2b9a938.gif

Position the vehicle on level ground. Run the engine until the fluid is at normal operating temperature. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right several times. Position the wheels in the straight ahead position, then shut off the engine. Check the level in the reservoir; it should be at the FULL mark. If fluid is required, remove the cap and add fluid until it reaches the FULL mark.

well you might of destroyed clockspring in steering cloum,(operates horn, airbag and cruise,)if you turn wheel to much with rack shaft unhooked you may have a problem.now use a pair of pliers turn rack shaft all the way to left, now count the turns as you trun all the way to right.(should be about 3turns )now trun back half the amount,3truns is1.5 back.set steerwheel straight, connect shaft.wheel straight.

1997 1500 4x4 pulls to the right

Sounds like a brake caliper hanging up. Check the slides to see that they're smooth working. Jack the right side up & make sure the front wheel turns fairly easy. If it's dragging alot then the caliper slide is fubar or the brake hose is collapsed internaly. Replace the hose if that's the case.
