Sounds like the solinoid on starter is bad. low voltage will cause this also. if voltage is ok. then repair or replace starter. when car is running if alternator is good then there should at least 14 to 14.3, voltage at battery . when off it should be at least 13 volts at battery. hope this helps toolman,

Have to turn the starter many times to get car to turn over and start

Probably the solenoid on the starter. Is that what is clicking? Listen for it, if clicking at the starter, probably a bad starter solenoid. Some cars, not all, have a starter relay in the starting circuit. If clicking at a relay block and not from starter, check for a start relay.

Lights comes on. power to batterry and starter but when i crank i just hear clicks. car died on me while driving. suggestion?

If you hear clicks but do not hear the starter run, the starter may have failed without providing any symptoms in advance

Starter clicks but will not start 90 ej22 mat

If the starter clicks only once each time you turn the key, you need a starter. If it clicks mutiple times without changing the position of the key, your battery is lacking sufficient power to start the car. Try jumping the car before buying a starter. also make sure the engine is not locked up.

Starter motor wont wind over all appears ok

if the starter does not make nosie when u try to start the car then u need a new one when u hear a clicking sound when u try and start the car and it does click but does not start thats means ur starter is on it way out sometimes if u tap it a couple of times the car will start have someone in the car to start while u bang on the starter if it starts after that i would recommend that u buy a new one.

When i try to start my honda 350 it just clicks, i also tried crossing the solenoid over and nothing happened, i checked all my connections and they were all good. what could be wrong?

THERE ARE TWO THINGS IT COULD BE, ONE IS THE BATTERY COULD BE DEAD, BUT IF THE BATTERY IS GOOD AND YOU ARE ONLY GETTING A CLICK THAN YOU COULD HAVE A STARTER ISSUE, WHICH IN THAT CASE YOU WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE STARTER. WHAT I WOULD DO IS MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED AND THAN TRY STARTING THE CAR,IF THE CAR DOESN'T START WHAT I WOULD DO IS TAP ON THE STARTER WHILE SOMEONE ELSE TRY STARTING THE CAR, SOME TIMES THAT HELPS, IF THE CAR STARTS THAN YOU KNOW THAT THE STARTER IS ON IT'S WAY OUT, IF ALL IT DOES IS STILL CLICKS PUT YOUR HAND ON THE STARTER WHILE SOME ONE IS TURNNING THE KEY TO START IS IF YOU FEEL THE CLICK THAN I WOULD REPLACE THE STARTER. GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS.

Check tightness of the clamps on battery & make sure the earth cable is tight from battery to engine, also check tightness of nut holding the cable 2 starter motor if all ok there its most probably the solenoid on top of starter motor replace this with new all will b ok.

Every time i try to start the car i will only get a click

the contacts in the starter are bad. you need to replace the starter. if you need to get the car started in the mean time. try tapping on the starter while someone turns the key to start the car. this will get it started.

hope this helped
please rate well
