Question about 1986 GMC Jimmy

1 Answer

I have 1986 full size Jimmy 5.7L that I use to plow snow on a private road. It nevers runs at much more than an idle, it has no registration. I fouled my spark plugs. Is there a differnet plug that is better suited for this non-road low RPM use?

I have found that platum plugs are the way to go. Never use a platum plug with a alternating coil pack. In your case of this being a 86 model don't worry, but dont just put platum plugs in everything they will burn up coils on newer vhicles

It depends on what you want to do with the machine cut lawns get attachment's to move earth or plow snow.
Tires can get aggressive with the tread you don't want mow the wet lawn or slip all over the place if you are plowing snow ..Also they come with studs for ice .
It sounds like you want a set for tires that will work in all the above and that's pretty much what it would come with tire and rim size.

While driving down road my western snow plow is rocking all over.

not good or safe! check all mounting pins and frame mounts. A lot of force is on snow plows and the frame mounts often need to be welded up. I imagine it is the whole unit and not just the plow.
