Question about 2004 Dodge Stratus
On my 2004 stratus, the oil light intermittently comes on while I am stopped & idling, however when I give it gas, the light goes out? Is this a known problem with the stratus & what should I do?
Common sighs of a faulty oil pressure sending unit. You can pic one up at Auto Zone for less then the dealer and they will have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools. Or you can take it to a local garage, and have them install the new oil pressure sending unit the same time you service the oil and filter. It takes an extra 15 min to install, so check with the garage on how much they will charge you. Most of the time you can tip the tech an extra $10.00 to install it for you and you keep your hands clean. Good luck and keep me posted.

I just saw this post. If the light is stll on then you may have engine sludge issue. Very common for these engines. Do a searh on your engine size like 2004 chrysler 3.2 engine or 2.7 engine sluge problems.
