Low oil pressure light comes on in 2003 chevy venture?

Oil level? Last time serviced? Oil filter changed? Number of miles? Regular service as required by Owner's manual? Otherwise if none of these are a problem, you may have a failed or failing oil pump. Worst case is bearing problem.

2003 Chevy Venture Warner Brothers Edition Mini Van 140,000 miles. Head gaskets blew yesterday. $2700 quoted to repair. Is it worth it to repair? What are other know issues with this model at this mileage...

what is the condition of the rest of the van? how does it ride, steer, shift and so on?
$2,700 is a lot less than replacing the whole van and you could end up buying someone elses headache if you go used..
if it ran really well before the gaskets went i would invest, if it had other issues i would trade it in

Common problem with these engines. Probably has a slight coolant leak at a head gasket causing this problem. Recommend to install reman engine you will save time and money compared to overhauling existing.

Lighting problem on 2000 chevy vetura

I have over 300k miles on my 2000 Venture. When the lights start flickering at low RPM's, the alternator or battery might be going bad. I would have it tested (for free) at the local AutoZone or Napa. The alternator SHOULD last 80-150,000+ miles. Its a real pain to change out on the Venture vans.

Sometimes I wonder if the van just doesn't create enough juice to run all of the accessories since even when batery and alternator are new they flicker once in a while when a component turns on.

I get zapped year round by my cars, even in high humidity. It is not harmful, but be careful at gas stations!

Just check the owners manual and it will give what the dealer will check at certain mileage. Usually just keep doing your oil changes and tune ups along with all the other general maintence.

2001 venture, 125K miles do I need a tran flush & fill & tune up

Your chevy venture will run for a long time as long as you pay attention to the maintence schedule .

Know issues are intake manifolds leaking coolant.

otherwise a sound buy !!

Running "rough"

I had the same issue with my venture. It turned out to be the number 5 plug wire, backside of engine ended up breaking out of the plug carrier and burning in half on the manifold. Your best bet is to trace all the wires to start off with and change the plugs. If that doesn't help, it may be internal. Good luck
