A top pully on my 1995 ford ranger seized, I need

I lost my srpentine belt on my way to work and noticed that the bearings of the center top pully seized. It doesn't drive anythiong it acts more like a guide. I need to identify which one it is so I can order a replacement. This is a 1995 ford ranger 3.0 rear wheel drive with air conditioning.

Hello. It sounds like you are describing the "idler pulley". Should be around $20 or less. Don't forget to remove the washer from the old pulley and put it back when you install the new pulley. I hope this helps, good luck with your repair.

Why does my 1995 chrysler concorde have high rpms when im driving what can i do to fix this issue?

Too Much tension on the belt , wrong belt, wrong pump, or the routing of the belt is not parallel to the other pulley. There is some sideways friction going on that is producing heat which is messing up the bearings and causing the pulley to crack or pump to seize up. When you say pulley just broke, are you talking about just the pulley or the whole pulley and steering pump assembly?

HOW DO YOU REPLACE A SERPENTINE BELT ON 2001 3.0 FORD RANGER?

These are fun to do for they are easy once you read on.. The tensioner has a square hole on it. The size is 3/8" which a ratchet will fit in perfectly. Have it handy and inserted after you do this next set. On the very top you will see a pully mounted on a bracket by itself. Loosen the center bolt which it will have to be turned clockwise to loosen. This will make it much easier to change your belt for there is no room to change it any other way for the average guy. The ratchet will have full pressure applied by you to remove the belt easily now

Scratching Noise

Spray some WD-40 on the pully where the belt rests on the pully while the engine is running and the noise will go away, also make sure the belt is tight enough around the pully, if it is loose then tighten it
